Half black half red squirrel ?

i shot a half black half red squirrel this season and i was wondering if anyone has ever seen 1 of those beforeHalf black half red squirrel ?
sounds unique!

the squirrel was solid black and the red you saw was the squirrel's blood.








HAHA!! -- really though.. i've never seen a half red half black squirrel. you may have discovered an unknown species, keep your eyes peeled!!Half black half red squirrel ?
I believe that's the red-hornet coconut-sniffing chipmunk from west Canada. Rare species that is!

  1. I have also seen a half black half red squirrel. The bottem of him is black, while the top of him is red. I have seen him or her in the same timber for the last 5 years. I have looked for one of these on the internet but have not heard anyone else besides you knowing anything about them. I have often thought of harvesting the squirrel but enjoy seeing when in my tree stand. I will try to get a picture of him to post. To prove we are not seeing double.
